Led by Jill Binder, Diverse Speakers in Tech is hands-on, short and impactful speaker training for underrepresented groups. In 2018, DST trained 45 organizations in 26 countries that resulted in 50-63% women speakers at tech events, up from 15%.

Groundswell is an alternative business school for social entrepreneurs that uses a holistic approach to building a business, aligning aspiring social entrepreneur’s personal values and ethics with a social business model.
Bill C-344 Social Procurement
Bill C-344, an Act to amend the Department of Public Works and Government Services Act allows the Minister of Public Service and Procurement Canada to encourage local Community Benefit Agreements (CBAs) alongside every infrastructure investment. $180 billion dollars of federal infrastructure funds can now be leveraged for a social value and generate positive impact for local communities.
The Refugee Livelihood Lab is a three year innovation process which brings people together to connect to deep sources of power, collaborate with leaders in diverse positions in the refugee integration system, and create new initiatives and social businesses in order to co-create paths where refugee communities can go beyond survival, towards meaningful livelihoods in Surrey.

Dogwood BC held the first youth leadership summit in the summer 2018. It was designed to support young change-makers and equip them with the skills to be even more effective with the support from seasoned campaigners.
